Deep Blue Maxi Dangles

Handmade polymer clay marbled dangle earrings in blue, green and purple with brown wooden fixing. Larger earrings for maximum effect!

I've mixed a green, purple and 2x blue powders into translucent polymer clay, then layered the colours on top of each other, after painting one side with a layer of white acrylic paint. Once I have a 'tower', I use a blade to slice through at different angles - the pieces then show intersections of all the colours and layers. The pieces are rolled into a slab, I cut the shapes, then bake and buff. They are finished with UV resin, to give a high gloss coating which deepens the colours further. And this combination of colours is an oceanic dream.
