In some of my clay I mix pepper to create a terrazzo effect, and this time I wanted to see what adding salt would do. I cracked sea salt onto the surface and rolled it in. I thought maybe the salt would sit into the surface of the clay and look like little crystals, but the salt disappeared after baking and left behind a unique texture of tiny little holes, reminding me of stone in the natural elements. Aptly named Saltburn (after just watching the film!).
