Metallic gold diamond shape polymer clay earrings, with intricate golden filigree style fixing.
I have a love/hate relationship with the marbling method. When the intensity and combination of colours work, I love them! And this combination of colours is a nectar, honey, liquid gold sensation. So good, they should be featured on the remake of Austin Powers, Goldmember.
I've mixed gold and white powder with translucent clay, covered each piece with metallic silver paint and then cut the clay into tiny pieces. Once mixed, I combine the pieces into a cuboid which I then slice. The slices are rolled into a slab, I cut the shapes, then bake and buff. They are finished with UV resin, to give a high gloss coating which deepens the colours further.
Metal fixings are stainless steel.
